After 35 Years in Skincare, Here's the Biggest Mistake I See People Make

After more than three decades of working with clients, I've noticed one common pattern that appears again and again. Many people wait until a skin concern becomes much more noticeable before seeking professional advice. Whether it's uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, common cosmetic skin growths, discoloration, or other cosmetic concerns, people often tell me, "I wish I had done something sooner."
The reason is understandable. Many skin changes happen so gradually that we adjust to them without realizing how much they have progressed. Others assume that because these changes are associated with aging, nothing can be done to improve their appearance. As a result, they postpone getting professional advice for months or even years.
One lesson I've learned after treating clients for more than 35 years is that healthy-looking skin is built through consistency rather than waiting for a major problem to develop. Regular professional skincare, combined with the right homecare routine, helps many people maintain smoother, healthier-looking skin over time.
Every client is different. That's why I believe the first step should never be choosing a treatment—it should be understanding your skin. A professional consultation allows us to evaluate your individual concerns, discuss your goals, and recommend the most appropriate approach for your skin type.
Helping people feel more confident in their skin has been one of the greatest rewards of my career. Sometimes the most meaningful improvements don't come from dramatic changes—they come from addressing several small concerns that together create a fresher, healthier appearance.
